How Does the Integration Work?
Once the integration is activated and the necessary permissions are granted, Criteria Packages—consisting of Assessments, Video Interviews, or a combination of both—are created within the Criteria platform. These packages are then made available in SuccessFactors by performing an Assessment Vendor Package import.
Supported Actions
The integration supports two workflows:
- On Application: Candidates are invited to complete an Assessment and/or Video Interview immediately after submitting their application.
- Recruiter-Initiated Actions: Candidates are invited when a specific status change is triggered within the job.
Note: Each job can only use one of these invitation methods.
Candidate Results
- Once a candidate completes their Criteria assessment(s), their results are automatically sent to SuccessFactors.
- Users can click the ‘View Detailed Results’ link to access the full Criteria report.
Video Interviews
- When a candidate completes a Video Interview, Criteria notifies the designated Evaluator(s) via email to review and evaluate the video.
- The interview status changes from ‘Pending’ to ‘Completed’ once the minimum number of evaluations has been submitted.
Just like Assessments, users can access the full Criteria report for Video Interviews by clicking the ‘View Detailed Results’ link.
- SuccessFactors does not allow assessment package to be deleted, only renamed.
- Ensure that you have Provisioning access from SAP.
Remember: As a customer, you don't have access to Provisioning. To complete tasks in Provisioning, contact your implementation partner or Account Executive. For any non-implementation tasks, contact Product Support.What can the integration do?
How much does it cost to set up an integration with SuccessFactors? Are there any ongoing costs with the integration? | There may be costs associated with setting up and maintaining an integration with your SuccessFactors account. Please reach out to your Criteria account manager for further information. To learn more about any potential costs relating to SuccessFactors, we recommend contacting your account manager at SuccessFactors. |
Time to integrate | Criteria require two weeks from sign-off to create the integration with your SuccessFactors account. |
Can I trial the integration before I purchase? | Criteria customers must have a paid subscription before an integration implementation can begin. |
How do I maintain my Criteria Jobs/Packages in SuccessFactors? | Assessment Packages are maintained manually in the Provisioning area of SuccessFactors by your SAP SuccessFactors consultants. You may choose to add your Criteria Jobs as the assessment packages. Criteria also offers Custom Integration Packages functionality that allows you to add static packages to SuccessFactors and control the mappings between the SuccessFactors requisitions and Criteria Jobs within Criteria. Note: Packages cannot be deleted in SuccessFactors. |
Does the integration support assessment and video interviews? | It certainly does! When you update your candidate's status in SuccessFactors, they are sent an invitation to complete the assessment or video interview. Once the candidate has completed, the results become available in your SuccessFactors tenant. SuccessFactors only supports inviting a candidate to 1 package. If you wish to use assessments and video interviewing, these will need to be completed in the same package. |
Can I send multiple candidates an invitation at the same time? | Yes, you can invite candidates in bulk by moving them all to the requisite status in SuccessFactors at the same time. SuccessFactors allows moving 50 candidates at one time. |
Can I use multiple rounds of testing in my job? | No, only one round of testing can be set up in SuccessFactors for each requisition. |
Can I reuse my candidates' previous results for a new job? | Yes, if you have the Reuse Results function enabled in your Criteria account, you can copy your candidates' existing results to new jobs. When this option is set, the system will automatically identify if a match is found between the candidate and any existing results for the same assessments. |
How are the invitations sent? | For ‘Recruiter Initiated’ jobs, invitations are sent immediately when candidates are moved to a testing status. The candidates are created in your Criteria account, which sends them the invitation email. For ‘On Application’ jobs, after a candidate applies for a Job Requisition with Criteria testing in the New Application stage, the candidate can click the link to view their profile. By expanding the ‘Jobs Applied’ section the candidate will see the ‘Complete Your Assessments’ link next to the Job they just applied for. |
Can I send assessments in-line with application? | You can set your SuccessFactors account to send the assessment / video interview invitation to your candidates as soon as they complete their application. |
When can I see my candidates' results? | The scores will appear in your SuccessFactors account immediately once the candidate has completed all assessments in the package. |
What information will I see for my candidates' results? | For assessments, the following values are provided: Talent Signal, Met All Score Ranges and main overall scores per-test. For video interviews, the following values are provided: overall score and recommendations A link to the score report is included in the notes. You will need to copy and paste the link in a new browser tab to view the report, as the link is not clickable. Dynamic Score Reports are also supported. Please contact your Criteria account manager to learn more. |
Can I invite candidates without sending their personally identifiable information (PII) to Criteria? | In most cases, Criteria requires the candidate's name and email address in order to send them the invitation email. If your SuccessFactors account is configured to send your candidates an email with the testing link, it may be possible to disable this in your Criteria account. Please contact your Criteria account manager to learn more. |
