Dayforce

Updated by Integrations Team

Summary of how Criteria integrates with Dayforce

  • Candidates may be invited to Criteria packages in 3 ways
    • Inline from the Application form
    • After Application
    • Manually
  • Each Job Requisition may only trigger 1 package per candidate.
  • In the case of Assessments, once the candidate has completed their assessment, the scores and report are available to view in Dayforce.
  • For Video Interviews, the Evaluator(s) are notified once the candidate has completed their video interview. An evaluator will click a link in the email, or from within Dayforce, to access the Criteria platform and complete their evaluation and recommendations. Once the minimum number of evaluators has been reached, the Video Interview Score and Recommendation will be available in Dayforce.
  • This integration supports multiple rounds of testing and offers Assessments only, Video Interview only, both Assessment(s) and Video Interview in the same package, and Live Interviewing.
Limitations of the integration
  • Dayforce only allows you to have one assessment vendor configured at a time. If there are any other active Assessment vendors configured, you will need to set an end date before you can enable Criteria.
  • Dayforce does not allow the assessment vendor configuration to be modified, if any changes are required, a new entry must be created. Enter an end date on the existing entry and create a new entry with today as the start date.
  • The package must be chosen on the Job Requisition when it is created, Dayforce does not allow the package to be changed after it has been created. (Look at using Custom Integration Packages if you don't always know what testing you wish to use when your create the Job Requisition.)

Integration FAQ: What you need to know

Pre-requisites

You must have the Recruiting Module in Dayforce

How much does it cost to integrate Criteria with Dayforce?

Depending on your Criteria subscription level, there may be costs associated with integrating your Criteria platform to Dayforce.

Reach out to your Criteria Account Manager for more information.

Time to integrate

Allow for one week to create and configure the integration within your Dayforce account. Some setup steps need to be performed by your Dayforce administrator.

Can I trial the integration before I purchase?

Criteria customers must have an appropriate subscription before an integration can be initiated.

How do I maintain my Criteria Jobs/Packages in Dayforce?

Criteria Jobs and Custom Integration Packages are displayed as Assessment Packages in Dayforce Recruiting.

It is not a live package sync, use the Update Assessment List button in your Dayforce account to update the packages in Dayforce when changes are made in your Criteria account.

Does this integration support assessment and video interviews?

It certainly does! When a testing package is triggered for a candidate, they are invited to complete the Assessment and/or Video Interview.

If the package contains a Live Interview the evaluators will be emailed to conduct the interview with the candidate. Once the interview has a score, the results become available in your Dayforce account.

Can I send invitations in bulk to multiple candidates?

Yes, when the Dayforce Requisition is set up to require manual invitation, you can invite candidates in bulk by selecting all the candidates and choosing to Send the assessment to them all at the same time.

Can I use multiple rounds of testing in my requisition?

No, Dayforce only supports sending 1 Criteria package to each candidate with a Job Requisition.

Note: the assessment configuration cannot be changed after the requisition has been created. Be sure to choose the package at the time of creating the requisition.

Can I re-use my candidates' previous results for a new requisition?

Yes, if you have the "Reuse Assessment Results" function enabled in your Criteria account, you can copy your candidates' existing results to new requisitions. When this option is set, the system will automatically identify if a match is found between the candidate and any existing results for the same assessments.

Where can I use Criteria products in my requisition workflow?

Each requisition may use one of the following options:

1. Embedded in Application - a Criteria testing package can be issued at time of application, the application form is not able to be submitted until the Criteria testing is completed. Once the application is submitted, the candidate becomes visible in Dayforce and their Criteria results will be available at the same time.

2. Post-Application Email - Automatic - a Criteria testing package can be issued at time of application, directly after the application form has been submitted. The candidate will be available in Dayforce while waiting for the testing to be completed.

3. Post-Application Email - Manual - a Criteria testing package can be triggered for a candidate by using the Send Assessment option at any time after they apply.

When are the invitations sent?

If a candidate is completing testing as part of the application process, an invitation email is not sent as the candidate will be completing the testing immediately.

In all other invitation methods, the candidate will receive an invitation email from Dayforce to notify them to complete their testing. The email will contain the direct testing link to take them into Criteria.

If you do not wish for Criteria to hold Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for your candidates, this feature can be disabled in your Criteria account.

When do scores appear in Dayforce?

The scores will appear in your Dayforce account immediately, once the candidate has completed all events in the package.

In the case of an Interview, Dayforce will show the status of the interview until the minimum number of evaluations have been submitted, then the score will be shown.

What Criteria results are displayed in Dayforce?

For assessments, the following values are provided:

  • Overall Score = Talent Signal
  • "Recommended" indicates that they have Met Score Ranges
  • Overall scores per-test (numeric scores only)

For interviews, the following values are provided:

  • Overall Score = Talent Signal

If you'd prefer an alternative score be displayed as the primary score field, reach out to Criteria to discuss options.
