Coach Bo Weekly Manager Check-ins for Team Members
What is Develop Weekly Manager Check-ins?
Every Thursday morning* you'll receive an invitation to a brief check-in. In just 2-3 minutes, you'll answer three simple questions about your work:
- How do you feel about your work?
- How did your week go (successes and challenges)?
- What blockers do you anticipate for next week?
That's it. No complex forms, no lengthy surveys, and no new apps to download—just a quick conversation with Develop's AI assistant, Coach Bo.
You can complete the conversation at any time between Thursday morning and midnight on Sunday.
*Check-in invitations are based on your time zone setting, which you can update in User Settings in your Develop profile. The default is US Pacific Time if no time zone is set.

What's in it for you?
We know your time is valuable, which is why we're committed to making this worth those few minutes:
Faster Response to Challenges: Instead of waiting weeks to discuss concerns, your input surfaces immediately. This means your manager can address issues before they become bigger problems.
Better One-on-One Conversations: Your manager will come prepared to 1:1s with context about what matters to you. These conversations will be more meaningful and focused on what you actually care about.
Continuous Support & Recognition: Development doesn't happen once a year anymore. Weekly insights mean you'll get recognition for your wins when they happen, and support when you need it most.
Real-Time Feedback: Instead of waiting for annual reviews, you'll receive ongoing development support and targeted help throughout the year. Your progress is tracked and celebrated every week.
Simplicity: 2-3 minutes. Delivered to your email. No passwords. No new tools. It fits naturally into your routine.
Here's the truth: traditional annual reviews are broken. Issues that surface in December are often too late to address. The modern workplace demands real-time feedback, continuous support, and managers who actually know what's going on in your world.
Research tells us:
- Employee engagement often depends on manager effectiveness
- Employees want continuous feedback, not once-a-year assessments
- When managers have better information, they can support you better
Weekly Manager Check-ins close this gap. Your input helps your manager lead more effectively, helps leadership make smarter decisions, and most importantly ensures you get the support you deserve when you need it.
What your manager sees
Your manager will never see your full conversation transcript.
Only Coach Bo will see the full conversation content. Coach Bo uses your responses to generate insights for your manager; your responses are not reproduced verbatim.

How it works
Every Thursday morning, you'll get an email from Coach Bo asking those three questions. Spend a few minutes sharing your thoughts. Over the weekend, Criteria's AI analyzes patterns and insights. On Monday morning, your manager has the context they need to make your week better.
You're not just reporting status updates, you're building a real-time feedback loop that keeps everyone aligned and supported.
Let's build something better
At Criteria, we believe development should be continuous, supportive, and built on real conversations, not annual paperwork. Weekly Manager Check-ins make that possible.
Your organization is rolling this out because they're committed to creating a workplace where you feel heard, supported, and recognized for your contributions.
