TEAMscan: Frequently Asked Questions

Updated by Amy Thomas

What is the TEAMscan?
The TEAMscan is a research-backed survey that measures 17 key dimensions of team effectiveness. It helps teams understand their strengths and identify specific areas they can improve in. Taking it regularly creates a repeatable process grounded in science and gives you the data for improving teamwork across your organization in a structured, scalable way.
When should we use TEAMscan?
Use TEAMscan with established teams that:
• Work together regularly
• Share common goals
• Meet/communicate frequently
• Have been together for at least a few months
• Have 3+ members
Why did I receive multiple invitations to complete the TEAMscan?
TEAMscan is not a generic engagement survey, it’s a team development tool designed to provide specific, actionable insights into how a particular team functions.

You may receive multiple invitations if:
✅ You work on more than one team.
✅ You are part of a project team in addition to your core team.
